African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund
Proud to announce that we have received $100,000 from the National Trust for Historic Preservation African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund! This funding will allow us to further stabilize the structure of The Imperial Hotel, preserving its historical integrity and ensuring its safety and stability as we prepare for its full restoration.
The Jack Hadley Black History Museum is one of 30 sites to receive a total of $3 million in grant funding to advance ongoing preservation activities for historic sites, buildings, and landscapes that represent Black cultural heritage. With more than $140 million raised, the Action Fund is the largest U.S. resource dedicated to the preservation of African American historic places.
